Barbara was educated at Notre Dame Primary and Secondary Schools in Glasgow and the University of Strathclyde. Barbara was admitted as a Solicitor in 1978.
She spent the early years of her legal career in Glasgow before moving to Aberdeen in 1982. Barbara was a partner at Ledingham Chalmers (previously Edmonds & Ledingham) for 14 years before deciding to return to Glasgow in 2000.
Barbara is a partner in the Builders Department and specialises in the acquisition and sale of residential developments as well as acting for commercial lenders. Her interests include reading, travel and driving up and down to Aberdeen at the weekend to see her husband and two sons who all still work in the Aberdeen area.
