The services we offer fall into three main areas:-
Contentious
All types of contentious employment dispute including unfair dismissal claims, all types of discrimination claims (including claims based on sex, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief), breach of contract claims and interdict and damages claims based on breaches of restrictive covenants.
Non contentious
Drafting employment contracts (from minimum statements to service level contracts including restrictive covenants), drafting policies including equal opportunities, internet & e-mail and anti-harassment policies, advising on maternity, paternity and adoption issues, the right to request flexible working, drafting grievance and disciplinary procedures, auditing existing documentation and policies and advising on aspects of corporate transactions including TUPE considerations.
Advisory and consultancy
Negotiating and completing severance packages (including the drafting or provision of advice in respect of the effect of entering into compromise agreements), providing advice in respect of the carrying out of fair dismissals on the grounds of conduct, capability (including long-term sickness absence or persistent short-term absenteeism), redundancy or retirement, advice in respect of discrimination issues including the soon to be introduced age discrimination legislation.
